ATI Med-Surg Adaptive Quiz

ATI Med-Surg Adaptive Quiz

For this adaptive quiz I had to take 261 questions which was frustrating. I had decided to take a break from it halfway through, at question 155, because of the amount of questions already taken. Things that didn’t go so well are the fact that I had to take 261 questions and that I changed my answers multiple times. What I take from having to do so many questions and still getting a 71% is that it is very possible for me to have to do that many questions on my NCLEX and still be able to pass. It is definitely frustrating that I saw how many questions I changed my answers to as that is something I never do on a regular in class exam. I don’t know if it is the fact that it is ATI and I think that they are trick questions or if it is the fact that I am taking the quizzes at home, but definitely frustrating in the end. Something that went well is that even though I did have to take a lot of questions, I still had a higher score on the quiz. This gave me a little more reassurance than the last ATI when it comes to thinking about the NCLEX and the possibility of passing it. Something I am going to try and remember during the next adaptive quiz is to not get frustrated when it comes to the amount of questions and to stop second guessing my answers!

  1. There are no “trick questions” on these exams – that would be unethical. Think deeply about the rationales for the correct answers, using sources beyond the ATI rationales if needed to better understand the concepts.
