Art and Nursing

Art and Nursing

This image really reminds me of nursing because it shows the selflessness of it. This was during a war when even though the nurses helping the wounded were most likely scared themselves, they put that aside to care for everyone else. The other part of this image that I really like is the fact that the little girl is clinging onto her dress. That is really part of nursing because the people and patients that we care for, really depend on us to help them through things and just trust us to protect them.

  1. Sierra,
I really love this picture. We both chose very similar time frames for our photos when nursing was becoming such an important careeer and key role in people’s lives. I admire your selflessness and passion for helping others. i know you will make a great nurse one day. <3 🙂

  2. Sierra, this painting speaks volumes and I agree with your interpretation. The little girl clinging to the nurse’s skirt also speaks to me of the need for family and professional balance. Nice job.
